# Packing your order

<Info>
  **Last updated:** 2 October 2025 This friendly guide shows how to **pack and
  secure** raw singles, graded cards and sealed products so they arrive
  safely—and how to capture **evidence** that helps resolve disputes fast. It
  sits alongside the **Seller Policy**, **Buyer Policy** and **Grading &
  Condition** guidance. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the **Terms
  prevail**.
</Info>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Prepare the item">
    Confirm the item matches your listing (set/edition, condition, disclosures).
    For sealed items, re-check the **seal** and note any **non-exposing tears**
    in comments/photos.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the right materials">
    Use sleeves, toploaders or semi-rigids, team bags, rigid mailers or sturdy
    boxes, bubble-wrap and corner protection (for sealed and slabs). Avoid plain
    paper envelopes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pack securely (see detailed guides below)">
    Immobilise the contents inside a rigid outer. Never tape directly to a
    toploader.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Capture evidence">
    Take clear photos and a short continuous video of the packing, the label and
    the hand-over/acceptance. This is invaluable in a dispute.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Label, track & upload">
    Use a **supported carrier** with a **valid tracking number**. When you mark
    the order **Shipped**, select the carrier, enter tracking, and **upload your
    photos/video** in the Managem UI. Tracking is validated via our partner
    **Easypost**.

## What you'll need

### Single cards

* Penny sleeves (new/clean)
* Toploaders <em>or</em> semi-rigids (Card Saver-style)
* Team bags or small grip-seal bags
* Painter's tape with pull-tabs (no residue)
* Two pieces of stiff card (if no rigid mailer)
* Rigid mailer <em>or</em> small cardboard box + void fill

### Graded cards

* Bubble-wrap (2-3 layers)
* Optional foam or corner guards
* Snug inner box + void fill
* Outer box or rigid mailer rated for the weight

### Sealed products

* Full bubble-wrap coverage (all faces)
* Corner protectors (recommended)
* **Double-wall** cardboard box
* Extra void fill to stop any rattle
* Strong packing tape (H-tape seal)

## How to pack (by item type)

### Single raw / ungraded cards

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sleeve the card">
    Place the card in a **new penny sleeve**. For foils, avoid forcing a curled
    corner; guide it in gently. <strong>Do not press/clean/alter</strong> the
    card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add rigid protection">
    Insert into a **toploader** or **semi-rigid**. Secure the opening with
    **painter's tape + pull-tab** (tape the sleeve or team bag—
    <strong>not</strong> the card).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Dust & moisture barrier">
    Put the protected card into a **team bag** (or small grip-seal). This
    prevents dust and moisture and stops the card sliding out.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Immobilise">
    <em>Option A (rigid mailer):</em> Place in a **rigid mailer** with a thin
    layer of padding so it cannot move.
    <em>Option B (small box):</em> Sandwich between **two stiff card pieces**,
    then place in a small box with light void fill. The bundle must not rattle.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Outer seal & label">
    Seal all edges firmly. Apply the label flat (no wrinkles). Add a return
    address. Avoid writing “card” on the parcel.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Never** ship in a plain white/boarded envelope without rigid protection.
  **Never** tape directly to a toploader. **Do not** rubber-band bare cards
  together—use sleeves and a team bag.
</Warning>

<TipInfo>
  Sending multiple cards? Sleeve each one, use separate toploaders/semi-rigids,
  then keep the stack aligned and immobilised inside the outer.
</TipInfo>

### Graded cards (slabs)

<Steps>
  <Step title="Wrap the slab">
    Wrap with **2-3 layers of bubble-wrap**. Add **corner guards** or a foam
    frame if available.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Snug inner fit">
    Place the wrapped slab in a **snug box** or rigid mailer with no movement.
    Fill light voids.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Outer box (if needed)">
    For heavier or multiple slabs, use a sturdy outer box. The inner should not
    touch the outer walls; add void fill on all sides.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Seal & label">
    H-tape the seams. Affix the label flat. Avoid exposing the slab to direct
    pressure points.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Cracked or tampered slabs must not be listed or shipped**. If the case has
  light scuffs, you may note them in comments; pack to avoid further abrasion.
</Warning>

### Sealed products

<Steps>
  <Step title="Inspect & document">
    Re-check the factory seal. If there are **non-exposing tears**, photograph
    them clearly (edges & close-ups) and mention them in your listing comments.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pad all faces">
    Wrap the product completely with bubble-wrap; add **corner protection**. Aim
    for no direct box-to-outer contact.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use a strong outer">
    Choose a **double-wall cardboard box** sized so you can fill all voids. For
    high-value or heavy items, consider **double-boxing**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Immobilise & seal">
    Fill voids so nothing moves when shaken. Seal with H-tape and reinforce
    stress points.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Check>
  Minimum standard (from the Seller Policy): **sufficient bubble-wrap** + a
  **double-wall box** (corner protection recommended).

    </li>

    <li>Authorising generic “safe-place” delivery for high-value items</li>
  </ul>
